Dedicated to improving people’s lives through weight loss surgery since 1998

He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He has performed thousands of obesity surgeries, and has an outstanding safety record and a proven track record of achieving successful results for his patients. He was one of the first surgeons in Central Florida to perform cutting-edge surgical techniques such as the sleeve gastrectomy. He remains committed to staying abreast of the very latest developments in metabolic and bariatric surgery in order to offer his patients the safest, most effective solutions to their obesity and obesity-related health problems.

Although Dr. Beltre has been dedicated to improving people’s lives through weight loss surgery since 1998, he was forced to close his private practice in 2008 after he was given the stunning diagnosis of advanced colorectal cancer. Determined not to give up and committed to fighting his disease for as long as possible, Dr. Beltre completed two rounds of chemotherapy and underwent major abdominal surgery. Incredibly, Dr. Beltre won his fight with cancer and reopened Beltre Bariatrics Center for Metabolic and Obesity Surgery in 2010. In his own words:

I thank God who, through His son Jesus Christ, healed me and gave me a second chance to practice and use the talents he bestowed upon me. I may have lost my former practice because of my illness, but through the process I gained so much more. I treat all my patients with dignity and respect. I know what it is like to be a patient and be without hope. I love what I do, and I love using my God-given talents to change people’s lives for the better.”

As lead surgeon at Beltre Bariatrics Center for Metabolic and Obesity Surgery, Dr. Beltre continues to help people struggling with obesity find treatment by providing excellent, personalized care, implementing the latest surgical techniques, and offering a powerful support network designed to empower individuals to achieve their weight loss dreams!
